The North Country Healthy Heart Network has announced the hiring of a new staff member: Project Coordinator Grace Mayhew.
As project coordinator, Mayhew will support implementation of the Heart Network’s Health Systems for a Tobacco Free New York and Creating Healthy Schools and Communities programs, which are funded by New York State (the former via subcontract with Glens Falls Hospital).
“We are so pleased to have Grace join us,” said Ann Morgan, the Heart Network’s executive director. “Her background, experience and interests are a perfect fit for the team and organization. She brings experience organizing and promoting educational programs, as well as a passion for the outdoors. We’re really looking forward to getting her out to meet our partners.”
“I am excited to be at the Heart Network to help make our communities stronger and healthier,” Mayhew said.
Prior to joining the Heart Network, Mayhew worked as a substitute teacher and as a park naturalist for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. She has also served as a watershed steward.
The Heart Network works to build foundations for healthy communities by designing, developing, and implementing strategies to decrease the incidence of cardiac disease, stroke and related chronic disease in northern New York State.
