The Press Republican published a powerful editorial this morning, highlighting the importance of quitting tobacco for personal health. the NY Times Personal Health Column also focused on tobacco cessation this week with an article entitled “Plan to Become an Ex-Smoker for Good”. These are only two of many local and national articles and letters which have been published in an effort to promote the American Cancer Society’s “Great American Smokeout” in November.
The Great American Smokeout is an event where the American Cancer Society urges smokers to use November 15th as a quit date, or at least come up with a plan to quit.
