The Heart Network is partnering with BIKE 86, a grassroots coalition of bicycle advocates who are petitioning the NYS Department of Transportation to create a cycling-friendly paved shoulder on Route 86 between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. Enhancing community infrastructure to support bicycling is an evidence-based strategy for increasing physical activity.
