Daily physical activity provides substantial health benefits for adults and children, and helps prevent obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic diseases.
Our Creating Healthy Schools and Communities program recently purchased bikes for Brushton-Moira Central School to give their students another option for physical activity.
“When schools and communities support active living, it improves health outcomes for everyone,” said Kat Haney, program coordinator at the Heart Network. “We applaud Brushton-Moira for educating students about life-long physical activities like biking. When we teach our kids about healthy lifestyle choices, everyone wins.”
