The North County Chronic Disease Prevention Coalition’s Get Healthy North Country program will host an informational session on local wellness workshops on Wednesday, May 17. This one-hour session will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the Burke Adult Center at 1040 East Main St.
The Get Healthy North Country campaign, promoted by members of the North Country Chronic Disease Prevention Coalition, helps people who live with chronic diseases, and those who support them, take control of their health. Its six-week program, offered at no cost, provides tools and resources to help people feel better. Workshops help participants deal with frustration, fatigue, pain and feeling alone; be active for better health; make healthier food choices; and talk with family, friends and health care providers about their health.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided. To learn more, contact Brielle Carnright at (518) 891-5855 ext. 5508 or bcarnright@heartnetwork.org.
