Purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers is an important way to diversify your diet and secure the availability of nutrient-rich produce in our region. Visiting your nearest farmers market and purchasing a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share are two great ways to access local produce. One of the ways the North Country Healthy Heart Network supports employee health and wellness is by covering 2/3 of the cost of CSA shares for all staff.

Please explore the resources below for more information about how you can access local foods for your family. If you are a restaurant or food store, please visit our Current Initiatives page or get in touch to find out if our Fit Pix program can help you incorporate more local produce into your inventory and menu.
