Getting dirty in the Saranac Lake Community Garden

Growing fresh produce in community gardens is a way to increase access to fresh vegetables and fruits through self-sufficiency. Community gardens can help make produce more affordable if the cost of creating the garden is shared by community members. The Heart Network provides mini grants and technical assistance to community groups that are establishing or enhancing community gardens at a number of locations including public lands, schools, & daycare sites.
